From authors Chelle Bliss and Brenda Rothert comes a smoldering standalone enemies to lovers romance that will, ahem…check all your boxes.

Reagan

I hate him. Jude Titan is everything that’s wrong with the male sex: cocky, domineering and loaded with swagger. Oh, and did I mention he’s a Republican? Yeah, the guy’s so conservative he leans to the right when walking. And lucky me, I’m running against him for Senate. But I’ve got plenty of fight in me. A golden boy war hero opponent with a smile that leaves melted panties in its wake? Bring. It. On.

Jude

Damn, she’s sexy. Reagan Preston intrigues me from the moment I lay eyes on her. And speaking of laying…I want between those thighs. But I want to make her burn for me first. Every debate and stolen moment is foreplay for us. She claims she hates me, but her body tells a different story. I plan to win this election, but I also want to win the sharp, fiery Democrat who captures my attention like no woman ever has. Politics is filthy, just like all the things I want to do to Reagan Preston.

Review

With all of the political underhandedness and dirty dealings that seem to run rampant in politics today, it was refreshing to see two potential State Senators who refused to ruin one another for votes. Now, I get that Dirty Work is a fictional story, but the behind the scenes look at political campaigns and what drives each candidate and those who work for him/her is based on factual information and each candidate’s platform is rooted in important societal values and needs that hold true in contemporary society.

#TrustTitan – I can wholeheartedly say that Jude Titan would have my vote! He’s 100% the people’s candidate because his character speaks for itself. Yes, he’s a war hero and served his country proudly, but his medal of honor means nothing to him unless he can help all Veterans who return to the States in need of assistance that’s not being provided. He’s the voice for not only Vets but also the little people who aren’t heard by the government. He’s been a public servant for most of his life, and it stands to reason that with his personal convictions and profound urge to bring about positive change that he would put his constituents first and make them be heard.

Reagan Preston is a fine candidate as well, and even though she has been groomed by her Senator father for decades, she stands on her own beliefs and doesn’t want to use her father’s name to win. She’s passionate about being a voice for the middle class and advocating for education reform because she understands its importance.

Jude and Reagan may be political opponents with opposing positions on many issues, but as ordinary people, they have an instant connection that most people don’t feel, and although they should remain on the side of their campaigns, their desire for one another is not something they can let go of, and while Jude and Reagan have to sneak around and communicate mostly via text messages, what develops between them is 100% real and absolutely worth the risk of losing just about anything else but each other.

Politics is not supposed to be personal because it’s a dirty business where someone else’s feelings can stand in the way of winning, but when it comes to Jude and Reagan, it’s as personal as it can be, which complicates so much of their respective campaigns because they’re not willing to do some of the things that could possibly secure their seat, and they also feel bad and question themselves when it comes to discussing one another with the media and how they will be taken by the person who has come to matter more to them than just about anyone else.

I love the fact that the title of Jude and Reagan’s story carries multiple meanings because it depends on who’s doing the work, what the implication of dirty implies. For Jude and Reagan, it’s the dirty things they yearn to do to one another’s bodies. To their campaign managers, it’s the dirty they can found on their opponent in order to bring them down. And still to others in the story, it’s past deeds that show them in a light that they would never want to acknowledge.

Chelle Bliss & Brenda Rothert co-wrote an amazing political romance that sizzles from beginning to end in terms of the political and personal maneuvers that Jude and Reagan take along the campaign trail. Both characters’ perspectives illustrated the type of people they are and also allowed readers to truly understand the person behind the candidate. The banter between Jude and Reagan both in front of and behind the scenes shows just how passionate they both are about what they believe in and what they long for not only as potential Senators but also as individuals who care a great deal for someone who is supposed to be off-limits but ends up being a central part of their personal platform!
